Voice : What is the most powerful thought ?
Me : What ?
Voice : The mightiest and most powerful thought the mind can have is the thought of God.
Me : That’s a hard battle for most minds..
Voice : You know why ?
Me : Too much Netflix ?
Voice : If I asked you to run a marathon tomorrow, would you be able to accomplish it ? You have run marathons in the past.
Me : This lockdown has got me a little rusty. I need to practice. If I work on my stamina, strength, flexibility and diet, I can knock this within a month.
Voice : Sure. Also, your years of practice would help you to get ready for it quicker than others.
Me : Oh yes. That will count a lot.
Voice : Your mind works just the same. How can you expect to have effortless, continuous and spontaneous thoughts of God without preparation, practice and perseverance ? Unmindful living for years has left your mind totally helpless to indiscriminate and unchecked thinking. Often, any attempt to fight those thoughts results in repeated failures or simply magnifying them.
Your attempt to switch to the most powerful thought of God, is like trying to run a marathon without even a walking experience.
Me : So what does one do ?
Voice : Use discipline, determination and dedication - the same qualities you use for your physical fitness. Mind must go through the same levels of gradual progress and cultivation of elevated thinking until thinking about God becomes effortless.
You may find it necessary to graduate from negative thinking to neutral thoughts. This can be a big transition by itself. Next, you move from neutral to positive thoughts. And once you are predisposed to positive thinking in all circumstances, you will be able to effortlessly move to 'God thoughts’. If a constant state of Divine Awareness is your goal, you will have to rise from your current thinking with conscious efforts. Divinity will see to the rest.
Me : But, doesn't one remember God best when one is suffering ? How can one have positive thinking while being down with all the negative thoughts and emotional chaos ? Isn't calling out to Divinity from one's heart still making a deep connection, although not in the most positive and calm state of mind ?
Voice : I am glad you brought this up. "Suffering as a means to remember God" is not My idea. Because of your utter loss of control of your mind, you have been living with this belief since ages. On the contrary, one who thinks about God in his happiest state, remembers God the best. Why do you need suffering to call out for Divine help ? I love it when you think of Me when you are having a great time, experiencing peace, having fun and when you include me in your best moments. You feel God is with you when you are at your lowest, because at that time you become so helpless that the mind is undistracted with anything except focusing on your last ray of hope. I prefer to be your priority, instead of the last hope. Call me when nothing is going wrong and I can have a day off with you. Happiness and humour are God's closest allies.
The reason why most remember God in suffering is because they have not been able to make the transition to living with higher ideals and thinking. Because if one did so, 'suffering' would be an alien word to them. Pain exists but suffering is the creation of your thinking. This is the reason why I pointed the importance of striving to create a life or a mind that is naturally predisposed to positivity. For then, it's infinitely easier to move to God-thoughts. Apart from the fact that I am happiest if you think of Me when you are happy, instead of the common belief that suffering is My chosen tool for deeper connection.
Me : Any suggestions for something that can help cultivate our minds to a life of continuous Divine awareness ?
Voice : Meditation. A conscious effort to exercise your mind to elevated thinking. Meditation can be done in different ways. It's training yourself to exercise mindfulness. It's bringing your consciousness to dis-engage unserving thoughts.

Me : It does feels good during the meditation. But, the moment you eject yourself from meditation, myriad of thoughts return back as quickly as they had disappeared.
Voice : This is because you have compartmentalised your thinking. Your higher state of mind is not exclusive to meditation sessions. Meditation is not a goal. It is a means to your goal. You must use the profound experience from meditation to seamlessly continue it's flow into your daily activities. You must try to hold the peace, stillness and joy from the mediation as long as you can. Gradually, you are able to increase this time and this turns effortless and your life shapes up to a living meditation. You must want to live God.
That is the reason why one must keep working on it. It becomes a part of your existence. It propels your intuition. It brings you stillness. It's your intimate communion with God.
You begin to generate a tremendous power with God-thoughts. It not only alters your frequency, it begins to impact the world. You begin to evolve at a heightened speed. All that does not serve your higher purpose begin to fall off because you have become a natural magnet for all that is Divine.
A simple act of thinking about God, can impact your entire being and has the power to reshape your evolution and open a gateway to the most treasured inner journey of your soul. You draw to you the highest divine qualities by constantly thinking of the Divine. The world around fades away and you awaken to your true purpose. If you had the slightest idea of the power of God-thoughts, you would do everything to channelise your thinking towards Divinity.
The life of the one who meditates and lives on the highest ideal of Love will reflect Divine Abundance.
Me : Simple thing to do, if one seeks the highest treasure..
Voice : Yes, It's simple. You become what you think of deeply. If you think God, you will become God. Perhaps, the innate simplicity of this, is the very reason it's not sunk deeper for Humanity.
Me : There are tons of books on positive thinking which can manifest a good life. Can this be of help with one’s journey to higher living ?
Voice : Of course. Good thoughts and positive thinking is certainly useful. But, it’s equally important to know who you are and what you want.
Me : Meaning ?
Voice : When you reach deeper awareness, you will find a significant difference.
You will realise that positive thinking is about the creation. God-thinking is about the Creator. Positive thinking creates a better world for you. God-thinking detaches you from the world. Positive thinking is what you want. God-thinking is about what He wants. Positive thinking belongs to the mind. Thinking about God belongs to your soul.
Me : Wow..
Voice : If the intent is from the depth of your heart, you won’t struggle to remember God, because He will begin to remember you.
