Offering Weaknesses To God ?

Me : I need your help. I have so many weaknesses.   

Voice : Are you suggesting that My creation of you is ‘Faulty' ? I thought My work is nothing short of total perfection.    

Me : I know I am not perfect, but….

Voice : But, you want to be perfect. For yourself or Me ? Because, your so-called weaknesses is not coming in My way. Do you find My love conditional ?  

Me : Of course not. Your love is unconditional.

Voice : Then, what more do you want ? Maybe, you want Yourself more. You are already having a false identity of yourself and now you like to further shape this falseness by desperately sculpting yourself by removing the so called ‘weaknesses' to meet your satisfying idea of being God-worthy. 

If you were immersed in Divine Love alone, you would never had any notions of faults or weaknesses, because the life-giving love would make you feel complete in the truest sense. You would not have any doubt that ALL of you is accepted and loved. This is the true nature of divine love that flows both ways - unhampered, unconditional and ever flowing. 

Your attention to your so-called faults is nothing, but remembering your ownself more than God.    

Me : But, why then do I feel I must overcome my weaknessess ?  

Voice : Because of the notion that mankind has held for ages.

Me : What notion ?  

Voice : Notion of virtues and vices, good and bad. You have a habit of judging your ownself. This mirrors from the deep subconscious habit of judging others. All your attributes are a perfect blend of creation to fulfil your destiny. Attempt to work on so-called weakness will only perpetuate them. That is the law. 

I don’t have a list of vices or virtues at My front door and neither can I place My finger on one God-unworthy soul, but you have a long list there and even a longer list of what you call ‘unworthy attributes’. 

How can you ever tell if the so called faults or vices are not playing the most crucial part of your spiritual advancement ? How can you be sure that you are not walking the path of pride having ‘vanquished’ so-called lower attributes ? How can you ever know if it's your weaknesses rather than strength that keeps you grounded and helpless to My Love ? Can I not use your weakest attributes for the greatest work ? Do you think I am drawn to you by your strengths ?    

Me : Wow. I need to reflect on this perspective. 

Voice : Perhaps, you want to reflect on why you want to overcome your weaknesses, in the first place ? Will the conquest of overcoming your so-called weaknesses tickle your pride for your innate desire to be spiritually 'perfect' ? Or does a part of you relate to 'assumed modesty' that suggests you are not worthy of God ? Whatever that may compel you - the premise stems from a strong attachment to your own identity. The idea of weaknesses emerge because of the distance you experience with your ownself.   

Me : Damn. How and where did this idea of 'offering your weaknesses' to God come about from ? One hears that often.  

Voice : The idea of 'offering your weaknesses’ emerges about from an inner attempt to detach you from thinking about ‘faults’ within you. ‘Offering' means totally forgetting about it so you can focus on Divinity wholeheartedly. The intent is to dislodge your thoughts about it.     

When you love God deeply, just the way you become detached from the world outside, you become detached from who you are. Strengths, weaknesses, virtues, vices, good and bad becomes significant only for the one who has not dived deep into Divine Love.  

What am I going to do with your weaknesses ? I want nothing but pure love. Only love is of significance to Me.

Me : Hmm

Voice : When you are immersed in love for God alone, the consciousness of 'I' begins to fade, and gradually you begin to disappear and God begins to appear. 

And, when God manifests, to whom does the so-called weaknesses actually belong ?
