In His Ocean

"Lonesome in the deep ocean,
My boat drifted far away
 Seagulls circled above, 

As sunset painted the horizon  

It was peaceful and still, 

Until the dark clouds appeared, 

Thunder and lighting tore the skies, 

As the mighty waves rose higher.

A perfect storm seized the night, 

Did I drift away from Light ?    

There was no shore at sight 

I was helpless to my plight. 

I remained still, in it's wake, 

 For it was just a life at stake

What was I to pray ? 

 Isn't He the hurricane ? 

Then, came the moment I trusted,

Rescued by the Love of my Saviour

His Mercy sank me with the boat, 

I was no more living afloat.  

Being eternally drowned in His Ocean,

I was fortunate to never find the shore."
