Portfolio Management

Me : So I was at my friend's place for lunch today.

Voice : Yes, I observed you were very amiable with carbohydrates finally. 

Me : Ha ha. Well, you said it’s not what goes in, but what comes out of my mouth that is more important.

Voice : Yes.

Me : All went well and I spoke much about you. He is a nice God-loving person. 

Voice : He is nice God-fearing person.

Me : God-fearing ? Why do you say that ?

Voice : Did you notice the corner in his study room ? 

Me : Yes, he has a huge altar. There were many pictures of Gods and statues of deities to whom he prays everyday. 

Voice : That’s right. 

Me : Is that a problem ? 

Voice : No problem with Me but a hurdle for him.

Me : And how is that ?

Voice : Let Me explain. You have a portfolio manager for your stocks ? 

Me : Yes…but you didn’t leave too much money there for me.  

Voice : You have enough for your needs. 

Me : Yeah...no room for wants. Only needs! 

Voice : We will talk about this another time. 

So coming to that portfolio manager..their job is to manage your funds and give you substantial return on your investment. Their other job is to mitigate the risk and protect your capital. In the same way, many so called lovers of God are excellent portfolio managers. They turn to multiple avenues of protecting themselves and they are invested in Divinity by dividing their worship towards multiple Gods. Should one fail, there is another. And if one refuses to listen, they can turn to another. And just to be assured of always being protected, they dare not displease anyone with neglect. In other words, they have got themselves 'well covered'.     

So you see, it is fear that compels your friend to create a safety net of Gods and celestial beings. He prays, worships and visits different shrines and appeases different deities from a premise that becomes his own barrier. 

Me : More the merrier ! Where is the harm in this ?

Voice : You love your wife ?

Me : Yes. 

Voice : But what is the guarantee of the future of your marriage ? Should you not cover your risk my keeping multiple wives ? So that if one fails, you have a back up of another. Sounds absurd isn’t it ? I feel the same. It is no different with Me, but you still  choose to love God in this manner. How can you ever give your all when you have distributed your love and attention ? 

Me : Oh 

Voice : Beloved can only be ONE. And when you begin to justify your love-interest in multiple Divine Beings, you are exercising careless liberty with the One who loves you more than you can ever love your ownself.   

Only if you leave everything in the hands of One Master, will you allow yourself to grow on the path of love. 

Me : Makes sense. 

Voice : Your love for God should be true. When all your love is directed towards one Supreme Being, you are able to love wholly, truly and completely. This love and longing can only reach intensity when you love one Master exclusively. Then this love grows to become steadfast, unchanging and unwavering. 

If your goal is to love God, then your efforts must be towards growing deeper and deeper in His Love alone and this state is hard to achieve when one scatters his attention of multiple deities, celestial beings or Divine incarnates. 

Why distribute your precious psychic energy ? 

Me : Hmm

Voice : How fortunate are those who are steadfast in love with one Supreme Being. No distractions. No concessions. No temptations. 

Me : Then, why does this happen in the first place ? 

  

Voice : The premise for this unusual characteristic is fear..the desperate need for self-preservation while also wanting God. But, the path to God itself is elimination of yourself.

Also, people want answers that gratify them and when they fail to hear the voice of their Beloved, they turn to other avenues. 

Me : What do You suggest they do then ? 

Voice : If one is easily swept by circumstances, one will struggle with listening to the inner voice and grow in inward companionship which is always present. This is that moment that helps you become firm as a rock with your love, longing and conviction towards your only one and only Master. Here, no questions exists.    

 

Me : Hmm. We have Gods for wealth and prosperity, Gods for knowledge, Gods for fertility, Gods for protection.... 

Voice : It's human nature. No portfolio manager would recommend all your life savings in only one stock or one sector. To protect your future, you are very good at securing yourself with multiple financial arrangements. Why take chances with God ? Who knows what's He going to come up with next ? 

You tend to tilt to other mediums and divine beings because you feel unfulfilled, unprotected and unassured. This stems from only one space - lack of faith. One of the prerequisites to grow in consciousness is total conviction. This comes from laying down everything at the feet of only One Master and keeping no 'safety nets’ despite the adversities in your life. 

God is Love. You can love deeply when you are not defocused. 

Me : So true. God is indivisible.  

Voice : So, should your love be...indivisible. 

 

Life Is A Response

 

Voice : Hello. 

Me : You know why I am pensive..

Voice : Yes. That’s why I have chosen to talk to you now. 

I don't want you to worry too much about it. Do not despair over anyone’s apparent 'lack of efforts' to win My Love. It is not as it seems. There is a good reason for the distance and good reason for the closeness.  

Me : Help me understand.. 

Voice : I will use the analogy of both the sun and the moon here. 

Think of the sun. It’s the same sun that shines over earth, but how interesting that depending on where you on the planet, response to the same sun is different with everyone. The sun does not alter the power of its illumination, but your response to it varies.You may bask in the sun for all the warmth in the cold mountains or you may avoid it altogether in the afternoon in a tropical place.  

 

Me : True. 

Voice : Similarly, depending on where you are placed in evolution of your consciousness, you are only a living response…a response to God's Light.   

Everything you do is a response. A response to My Love that perennially flows to you. 

You may be unaware, but this determines your reciprocation to God. 

You feel you choose. You feel you initiate all actions. But, everything you do is only a secondary action. My Love flowing to your heart is the primary force. Everything in your life only becomes a response to this.

Me : Oh 

Voice : The more I open My tap of Love flowing in your heart, deeper will your response be to Me. The more I long for you, the more you will long for Me. The more I remember you, the more you will think of Me.   

You feel you have chosen to love God, you feel you are making efforts to get closer to God, You feel you are remembering God….it's all only a response. A response that I stimulate within you with My Love.

         

It is My Love that flows in varying proportion to stimulate varying intensity of longing within the seeker’s heart. 

Me : Why can’t You just shine the same light on everyone at the same time ? 

Voice : Ha ha  

Love for God cannot be manufactured by oneself - it is a seed bestowed in the heart of the lover by God. The seed germinates in perfect time and blossoms into longing and love for God over several lifetimes of nurturing.You do not know but you have endured the heat of the blazing sun in previous incarnations, which burned away layers of veils and you become prepared.    

If one is ill-prepared to be in the sun, it can burn you or even cause a heatstroke. 

And when it's time for a widespread transformation, the sun can also bring about significant changes in the world impacting all life in creation simultaneously.  

Me : Solar flares ? 

Voice : Yes. And you are in the middle of it right now.

Me : Hmm. You also said you will use an analogy of the moon ? What about that ?  

Voice : Have you realised that a bright moon in the sky can light up the dark night, even though it's light is just a reflection from the sun ?

Me : Yes. 

Voice : In the same way, you are like a moon whereby My Love is constantly being reflected to people you meet in your life. Subtly but certainly, My Light is always shining as a 'reflection' in your heart. 

The sun may not be visible to them, but they are still in God's light through you and soon they will bask in the direct rays of the sun.

Me : I am not sure if I can always be in a constant state of love and understanding.. 

Voice : Neither is the moon always a full moon, isn't it ? Without worrying about the light, live silently like the cycles of the moon, but knowing well that the light of the sun is always shining on you. 

  

Me : I want to love God more and more..

Voice : I know. Because I am stimulating your response. I love you more. 

   

Real ThanksGiving

Me : Thank you 

Voice : For what ? 

Me : For what you did there! 

Voice : Oh that deal you signed ? It was always going to go through. 

Me : Was a big one and I know You made it possible. 

Voice : Ha ha 

Me : Whats funny ?

Voice : It's funny how I get credit for things that happen the way you want. 

Me : What do you mean ?

Voice : I didn't do anything...that deal was in your lot. Frankly, I don't care much about it.

Me : Huh ?

Voice : I am more interested in taking away what you have. Being credited for giving you what you want doesn't interest Me. If you want to really thank Me, it ought to be especially when things don't go your way.

Me : Why would any normal person in the world do that !??

Voice : Because like you said ...they are normal people of the world.  

There wasn't even a word of acknowledgement from you for all the personal efforts I put in your life to enrich it. 

Me : I always thanked you for everything I have in my life..health, wealth, success,  relationships, Your Love. What have I missed to thank You for ??

 

Voice : You forgot to thank Me from the bottom of your heart when your back broke and I didn't let it heal for months, when you had that tax inquiry with your business, when I broke your car down, when you faced humiliation, when you had to cancel your holiday because of ill health, when I had your dream project buried and especially when plenty of your investments were made to fail last year. 

Didn't you notice My loving hands in all this ? A little show of gratitude for this effort would not hurt. 

Me : Seriously ?? You call that loving hands ?? Gratitude for what ?? 

Voice : I had to make several adjustments and work very hard to keep you free of the  dangers of world entanglements. I had to make you lighter by shedding all the unwanted baggage. Man, you were heavy weight!  

Me : Are we done or there is more coming ?? Perhaps, you still think I need to get 'lighter' ? Why not shrink me down to a pea ?  

Voice : I love you so much. How can I forsake you, by making your false world of shadows a place of pleasure and comfort for you ? I will never let go of you.  

Me : You know what - you need serious PR work if this post goes public. God is not expected to sound like this. 

Voice : It's not for all that I choose to reveal Myself. Let the notion of God and the so called 'spiritual path' be perceived as it is, by most. They will revel in the notion of reaping and will be drawn to the Path to 'gain'.

But, this is only a losing game. You will be effaced to finally find the Truth.When one is ready, he will know the real meaning of treading the path of emancipation.

Me : Damn! So you would prefer if I start showing gratitude and joy when nothing is going my way and be indifferent when things are going the way I want them ? 

Voice : I know how this sounds. 

Me : Nobody is going to look forward to what they hate and thank you for it !

Voice : I know. I have been doing a thankless job since the beginning of time. 

I want you to understand this..If things in the world begin to happen as you desire with all your wishes being fulfilled, then I have allowed you to go deeper and deeper into your slumber of ignorance. By lovingly placing all the things that go against your worldly wants, know for certain that you are being awakened to Reality.   

And, you My dear, are precious to Me. 

Me : You know this won't get people to follow You and this certainly won't  sound good for Your image. You know that, right ?    

Voice : For your love, I will take all the abuses, insults and brickbats. 

There will always be a difference - a supreme difference between being a 'follower' and being a 'lover'. 

Me : I think only when one is out of his mind, he will want this path to God ! 

Voice : What you think path to God is ? Meditative bliss, peace, joy and a carefree life ? This is not an escape to a comfort zone. This is a conscious and courageous plunge for the sake of love. It is a path of shedding, not gaining as many expect.  

This is for the true lover who wants God above everything else. When the floodgates of divine love opens up, it will destroy and disintegrate everything in its wake like a hurricane, and in that emptiness and nakedness, lies the Real Treasure.      

That's why the world will always see large crowds of seekers at the shorelines but very few lovers of God diving in the deep waters of the stormy ocean.    

Me : Hmm

Voice : My most significant work in your life is unnoticed, unobserved and in those uncalled events in your life. This is My work that really matters.  

The reward lies in the unexpected and what you dislike. Here is My real flow of  compassion but it remains almost always unacknowledged. Subtly but strongly, the discomforts in your life navigate you to the Truth.   

By placing the gift of adversities, incessant pain, obstacles, disillusionment and desperation, I am loving you beyond measure. This helps you embark towards creating natural indifference to the world, as My Love slowly and surely begins to draw you closer and closer to Me. 

There will come a time when you will want nothing but God's love. This is when you will joyously be ready to relinquish all for this love, even your own form.

What more can you want from this life ? 'God' is a quest for billions of people, but here, you are My quest !      

Me : I am in tears.. 

Voice : It is true that I come for all, but I am for a few.   

  

Me : Wow

Voice : Do you seek God ? 

Me : Yes.      

Voice : Then, thank Me for that alone. 

 

Why thank me for the home of your dreams, recovery to good health and for all the money you just made from a business project ? 

Thank Me when you loose it all.  

Transcending Seeking Guidance

Voice : Do you really need it ? 

Me : But I want your guidance. 

Voice : Do you feel you are living without it ?

Me : But I still feel the need to ask and seek your guidance for all my decisions. 

Voice : You can. But perhaps you are ready to transcend this need now.

Me : Meaning ?

Voice : When you seek My guidance, you are unconsciously bound to the belief of 'mis-guidance’ or lack of it. When you are Mine, do you think there is even single moment in your life without my guiding hand ? 

What compels you to ask My guidance ? Is it My absence or is it your own absence from My continual presence ? 

If you want to surrender to God, why assert yourself ? 

Me : Hmm

Voice : You ask guidance because you have already gravitated towards a particular outcome in your mind. You fear something may not turn up the way you like. How can surrenderance be complete in such a state of thinking ?

I am eternally in You as you are eternally in Me. I am awake to each breath you take. 

Even when everything goes wrong, you are perfectly guided. This needs deeper understanding of My Infinity. When you live with this conviction and surrenderance, you are able to step beyond seeking signs, messages, validations and guidance. 

Instead of seeking My response to your questions, live your life as a response to My Love moment to moment. Strive for it. Feel it.  

Me : But everyone asks for divine guidance and shouldn't that be good thing ? 

Voice : It is always a good thing. But, you My dearest, it is time for you to take a leap with Me, now.

Me : I am ready if you think I am ! 

Voice : It is only upto you. 

Recently, you asked for My guidance with your injury and you nearly lost your leg because of the way I was prompting your decisions. Tell me, was that My guidance or misguidance ? I know exactly how much it is necessary for you to endure so I let My help deliberately not arrive before time. Who would understand this ? Now, of what avail is seeking guidance ? 

How fortunate you are ! God loves you. If you really understand this, you will revel and live silently in My Love. When Love prevails, even the words 'Trust God' will fall short of this Divine understanding .  

Me : Wow. So, all that happens is your wish.

Voice : To the very tiniest moment..especially for My close ones who have surrendered to Me.  

If I was physically present right now and held your hand to walk you through a dense forest, would you keep questioning with Me for directions ?

Me : Of course not !

Voice : So the problem lies in you not seeing and feeling My hand. That is why you keep seeking My guidance and help, which is actually never absent!  

Feel My hand all the time. Leave everything to My wish, trust that each moment is My Will. Discard the notions of seeking guidance and signs. Allow 'if' and 'but' to die a natural death. Stay in quiet submission. Feel My presence in each moment. It is a quiet surrenderance where gradually you fade away and only I am.

    

Me : Not everybody would be comfortable with this idea. 

Voice : Because suddenly you feel vulnerable. Throughout lifetimes, you have lived with the notion of control and believing what you 'think' was good for you. Now, you are left with no sight of what is next and that is a frightening prospect to most. This is not for everyone.   

Me : Yes..

Voice : It’s time for you to transcend any kind of seeking and only live in submission of higher Will. Because when you surrender completely to Me, you allow Me to be responsible for everything in your life. 

You do not have to seek Me, because I am never gone.  

For the one who lives with this precious Love in his heart, all that he does has perfect results because everything is emanating from the source of Love.   

True lover is the one who is so absorbed in divine consciousness that He is simply an instrument of Divine Will and without being aware of it. He has no Will of his own and therefore experiences futility in even seeking guidance. He smiles at all outcomes. 

It's time for you to be nothing. Nothing, but a living embodiment of God's Will.   

Me : Wow. Will I be able to ? 

Voice : Leave it to My Will. 

 

Lost Connection

Me : I felt 'disconnected' with You yesterday. 

Voice : Hmm 

Me : Not good, right ? 

Voice : It’s very good. 

Me : Very good ?? The entire day I was aware of my lack of connection with You and I did not like that! 

Voice : The very instance you feel my disconnection is actually a connection with Me. The awareness of your disconnection, itself is a connection. It shows how close we always remain. 

Me : Oh 

Voice : How fortunate you are ! Your connection or lack of it both mean the presence of My Divine Love in equal strength. 

Once you anchor into Me, it's all upto Me. I never release the anchor...all that happens is the slackening and tightening because of the storms you sail. 

Me : Wow

Voice : You can remember, only when you first forget. 

Solitude

Me : Is spending time in solitude spiritually significant ?  

Voice : You tell me..why do you choose to be by yourself most of the time ? 

Me : I enjoy being alone and quiet. I love it.  

Voice : Why do you enjoy it ?

Me : When I am alone I hear you speak inside my heart. I feel your presence. I do not dislike interacting, but your companionship is such a fulfilling experience that I want it to be uninterrupted as long as I can…just like how it is now. I want to be attentive to each word you whisper in my consciousness. Maybe, this is why I choose to be in solitude whenever I can.  

These are the moments when I desire nothing else. What else is needed beyond the company of the Highest ?  

Voice : You have answered your own question. 

Me : So, avoid all company if one wants to talk to God ?? 

Voice : That is not what I said. Being in solitude does not mean dispelling people or rejecting interaction. On the contrary, it is about finding adequacy.

Me : Finding adequacy ? 

Voice : Finding adequacy in My companionship, finding contentment in divine immersion, finding fulfilment in our conversations. When nothing matters except growing in this divine flow of love. 

Solitude is not a spiritual regimentation, but an outcome of the longing for more and more of God’s love. You become helplessly drawn to it. 

Me : Hmm   

Voice : When the noise of the world is muted and you are by yourself, you create external silence. This helps inner silence. Solitude is exploration of this penetrating silence. 

When you pray I am listening but when you are silent, you are listening to Me. And when this is allowed to flourish, you hear me clearly. 

When this becomes deeper, even conversations will no more remain and only manifestation of pure, silent, fulfilling love.  

   
Me : Wow. Then why do some people dislike being alone ?

Voice : You would probably dislike it too. But, you have never known being alone because of our companionship which is older than you know...an earning through the yearning which has been since lifetimes.  

Me : Hmm

Voice : Solitude is to know you are not alone. 

Closer Than Your Breath

Voice : Your breath is a part of you every single living moment. You are not conscious of it but you inhale and exhale without a break.

Me : That is true.

Voice : This simple act of breathing exists so subtly in your consciousness that the awareness of it is lost in its effortlessness.

Me : Yes

Voice : But does your breath desert you if you are not attentive to it ?

Me : Of course not. But why you telling me this ? 

Voice : To let you know that you are not 'doing' breathing. Breath is you. 

I am closer to you than your own breath. Fathom how close we really are. 

I am never absent from you. I can never desert you for I am not outside of you. I am you. I want you to know this. Fathom this. Believe it. Feel it. 

Living in the sweetness of this conviction will one day engulf you in the eternity of Divine Love.    

Me : Wow

Voice : Why call upon Me for I am never gone. Call upon your own Self.

Only Love Is Real

Voice : I love you.

Me : Your love makes me cry.

Voice : You are very dear to Me. 

Me : Everything fades into insignificance with flow of your love in my heart..

Voice : My love will open your heart more and more.

Me : How will I be able to relate to the affairs of the world ? 

Voice : When your focus on God begins to rise, everything else becomes out-of-focus just as in an automatic lens. When this happens - your life, your decisions, your possessions, failures, success, relationships..all of it begins to rest entirely on Me. 

When you are dedicated to Me, I am naturally dedicated to you. The affairs of your world are in My hands because you are no longer held captive by the false world. 

Me : Will this be a problem for my close ones to relate to me ? 

Voice : Yes. They will not relate to you, but to the love that grows inside you - and that is My connection to others through you.

Me : Hmm

Voice : As the season changes, autumn leaves fall off the trees on their own. In the same way, as you choose to be divinely immersed, you will experience within the 'natural falling' of all that does not serve the higher purpose. You will be in awareness of it.     

Me : Wow

Voice : Remember, only love is real. Everything else is falling leaves. 

Sleepwalking

Me : There is something about this moment ..

Voice : Hmm 

Me : There has been something about the whole day today.

Voice : What  

Me : Like I have been going about everything from another zone..I am there but not there…in a good way. 

Voice : Anything you did differently today ? 

Me : Yes..you were on my mind most of the time..in a strange silence I felt your inner connection. Today I had no goal. I seemed to enjoy your companionship like never before. Strangely, as you began to enthral my heart, eveything around my life today was losing prominence.

Voice : Like you were sleep-walking through the day  ?

Me : Yes ! yes ! that is a perfect word for it ! So what's this all about ? 

Voice : Happens. 

Me : Happens ? 

Voice : Sleeping and awakening.

Me : Huh   

Voice : Today I was wide awake within you only because you permitted yourself to sleep with heartflet rememberance of Me. You had no questions. Mind was at rest so your heart felt awake. 

Me : Hmm. I love sleepwalking !

Voice : I love awakening.

Tea Hut

                                    

Me : So I am going to run a small tea stall. 

Voice : Where ?

Me : Himalayas.

Voice : Sound like an interesting idea.  

Me : I love my tea and love serving tea. I wanna make each cup of tea with so much love that the one who drinks it feels the flavour of Your love. 

Voice : And what about your career ? Like earning well for a living ?

Me : Really ?? You asking me this ?

Voice : Yes

Me : Tea-making is an art You bestowed upon me and I will use it to give love, receive love and gather love. What better career to have ? You say only love is real. 

I dont know how things may end up but I know my motives are driven by what is real - love. Like You say - Love is a fail-proof idea. 

If love is measure of my earnings, how wealthy that will make me !

Voice : You grasp things quickly. Have you looked for place ? 

Me : What are You there for ? I have grasped things quickly, haven't I ? 

Voice : Ha ha. 

Me : How wonderful would it be sipping warm cups of tea on cold days with backdrop of the majestic mountains ! The tea hut will be a paradise for weary travellers, trekkers, village folks, spiritualists, strangers, loners, lovers - for every one ! I could sneak a conversation about God and make the moment even more special.  

 

Voice : Only when you are convinced that you are where you belong - you can make this life count. 

Me : Hmm

Voice : It doesn't matter what you do but how 'present' you are in what you do.  

Me : Will I have Your Love flowing endlessly through my tea hut ? 

Voice : Always will..as long as you don't forget that it's My tea hut.

   

                                      

Pain of Suffering Or Suffering of Pain

Me : Why does God give suffering ? 

Voice :  Who ? Me ??

Me : Yes - You ! 

Voice : I am not a sadist. 

Me : Then why is there so much suffering in the world ?

Voice : I ask the same. 

Me : Don't dodge me with your words. You know all about suffering..

 

Voice : I know there is pain. But, ask why is there suffering ?

Me : What is the difference ?

Voice : World of a difference. 

Me : And that is ?

Voice : Pain can pierce you, but pain belongs to the mind. When pain is permitted to enter the province of the heart, it manifests into suffering. 

Pain is inevitable but suffering appears as choice. Those immersed in love for God know this difference. Pain does not delude them. They only disallow it to precipitate into suffering.  

Me : Hmm

Voice : When you go on your climbing trips..how is it that you are able to endure the hardships, pain and discomforts ? And that too, by choice ? Haven’t you had bleeding fingers, faced dehydration, intense fatigue, sleep deprivations, hunger bouts and hostile weather and yet you seem to love climbing. Doesn't the pain dissuade you to climb ?

Me : Nope.

Voice : That is because pain never crossed the threshold of your heart. You would not call this suffering because deep down the joy of being in the mountains superseded all the discomfort.

That is exactly how a true lover of God feels in times of intense affliction. Pain becomes a sweet gift from His Beloved which he revels in an uncanny way. Just like you in the mountains, he is not suffering.   

Me : Hmm..

Voice : I feel you have another question that you want to ask Me ?

Me : Yes. Why does suffering even have to touch the one who is anchored in God ? 

Voice : Those who are deeply anchored in God’s love may feel deep pain in their experience but they are not suffering. This comes from inner awareness of what is real and what is false. This comes from firm conviction knowing how precious pain is in the path of love. They know that pain is keynote of divine freedom that will release them from the bondage of falseness. They take heart in knowing that each gift of adversity is an opportunity to get closer to the Truth. They ask for strength to endure their lot and don't blame God, their fate or another.  

Me : That takes lot of conviction and courage !

Voice : It takes love. It's thirst for God alone. 

Me : It's ironical because one would expect that life gets easier as one chooses to get closer to God...

Voice : Because of the way God has been marketed over time, I am viewed as the One who is present only to make all adversities, misfortunes and pain simply disappear. With this promise in mind, most seekers bring themselves to follow God as they understand. 

Over time, their ideas of a trouble-free existence is questioned as advertises continue to remain in their lives, obstacles do not disappear and hardships surface inspite of the prayers. The promise of bliss in their lives seems to elude them. And so, arises the belief that God gives suffering. 

This is the time when the difference between faith and conviction comes to light. 

Me : Hmm

Voice : The truth is that your challenges were always going to come and I have nothing to do with it. It is the natural law of cause and effect taking place. You sow what you reap, not just in this life but since lifetimes. 

Your share of pain was always going to catch up with you, with or without Me. 

Me : Then, what is your role as God in our lives ? You can't be just a bystander ! 

Voice : Ha ha. I get that a lot. 

Me : And its not funny when suffering befalls. 

Voice : What you think this path of love is ? 

Me : Merging with God. 

Voice : What do you think that means ? It's layers, layers and layers of unimaginable unveiling of your false self so you can finally merge in God. You have gathered billions of impressions since lifetimes and they must be worked upon to set you free. How can this ever be assumed to be easy, pain-free and comfortable ?

It means self-annihilation ! Its means that nothing, not even your form has any place at the threshold of divine freedom. 

You feel you can efface yourself while being rooted in the pleasures of the world and yet seek God ? What about the opposites of experiences of your existence in duality ? You think your divine journey is only about what you like ?

The path of love is for the brave-hearted who is ready to relinquish everything for reaching God; where every experience is embraced with equipoise including that what is difficult to face.

You will feel dislodged from your comfort zone. It is in these times an aspirant receives My help. 

Me : What help ? You wont let our pain vanish !

Voice : Yes your pain may not vanish, but I am the shield aganist the monumental force of impressions.You may gasp and choke, but I will never let you sink. You have no idea of how My love for you lets only a trickle of pain seep into your life. I take on the rest of it, for I love you very much.    

 

If you have this conviction and love, no amount of suffering will gain power over you.  

Know that I am aware of every single beat of an aching heart. 

   

Me : So this pain is necessary ? 

Voice : Perhaps …to bridge the gap between God and creation. You have moved so far from your ownselves, that pain has come as an inevitable outcome to draw you closer. 

Ignorance of the working of the natural karmic laws and it's intricate interplay causes you to resist its natural flow of working which can free you, but instead you are caught up in duality and your resistance causes the pain to become a cycle of suffering. Suffering then begins to consume you and magnifies in proportion. It is allowed to reside in your heart.

 

Pain can remain a positive experience especially when you are in higher awareness but suffering tends to become disruptive for one’s spiritual welfare.    

Have you noticed that your own pain can be the cause of more empathy, understanding and humility ?

Me : Thats true. But all that pain and suffering can really hurt…I mean it feels too intense sometimes ... 

Voice : Because it's meant to. The purpose of pain is pain. Otherwise, why would it appear in the first place ?  

Me : Hmm

Voice : Ironically, suffering is present to eliminate suffering itself. 

With higher awareness, let each moment of pain serve you the opportunity to get one step closer to Divinity.  

Me : Sigh..

Voice : But you are doing good.  

Me : You think so ? 

Voice : Yes - I know so. 

Sometime ago, while you were enduring the weight of the wave of vicissitudes that surfaced in your life, you were standing alone by the front window. At that time your face had both - teardrops and a smile. This is the sweet anomaly of living in God's Love.
