Love is the Answer

Voice : Love is the answer, My dearest.  

Me : Really ? You can atleast wait until I find words to frame my question ? 

Voice :  Whatever your question, love is the answer. 

Me : Okay so I have nothing to ask. 

Voice : But you still have questions inside you

Me : What do you want me to do with them ?

Voice : Absorb yourself in Me. Allow My everflowing love to touch your heart. You will experience love as the answer to the question that doesn't exist...   

      

Rip Your Heart

Voice : I will rip your heart apart !

Me : Is that a threat ?

Voice : So fortunate to receive a direct threat from Me !  

Me : You love Me, don't you ? 

Voice : More than you can love your own self.

When love is at it's highest, it flows like a tidal wave destroying all falseness in its wake - only to unveil your real Self. You ask for love but can you welcome it's majesty? 

I will burn you in the flames of agony. I will turn the world against you. You will be betrayed and deserted. The humiliation will break you completely. I will destroy all that you have worked to create. I will shatter your dreams and bring you to your knees.You will loose all that you could fall back on …your family, your friends, material possessions, titles and even hope. Your body will crumble with physical pain. You will be in a state of utter despair with physical and mental agony. The hopelessness will leave you with nothing. 

Me …and that nothing brings me everything ?

Voice : Not yet. Pain is yet to reach the intensity. 

Me : How can more pain can even be even possible from this point ? 

Voice : Freedom from cycles of birth and death after million of lifetimes has a price..price of unveiling yourself of layers, layers and layers. 

Me : Deeper pain ? 

Voice : Your heart will shred into pieces when you will feel My desertion. The feeling of My absence will break you down further and numb your senses. This will be My final dagger into your heart. 

You will call for Me and yet fail to hear My voice. The unbearable pain will compel every cell of your being to ache for Me. From the deepest core of your heart you will cry out for God - that will be the moment of My manifestation within you.  

In the utter emptiness of your being, I am. 

Until then, you are only on the shores of Divine Love.   

Attribute Everything...Really Everything !

Voice : Attribute everything! 

Me : Huh ? 

Voice : Yes! Attribute EVERYTHING to Me. Not just when you are feeding a dog, serving the needy, helping the poor or sitting in silence.

I am also present when you speak angrily with someone. I am present when you cheat your friend, exhibit pride or even lie! I am equally present in all your lustful actions. I am present with all your actions and inactions ! 

There is nothing you cannot attribute to Me just as there is no place I am not.

I am also present when you think I am absent !

Me : Woah. I sense the might in your words.

Voice : And guess what ?

Me : What ?

Voice :  All the so-called wrong decisions you made - I was present.  

Me : Sigh..

Voice : Comprehend My Infinity. 

Me : Hard to fathom.. 

Voice : Not harder than how you take me to be omnipresent, but effortlessly make to be absent with what doesnt agree to your mind. 

To be fully with Me, I want you first to become free of your ownself.    

Me : Don’t you think it's rather easy or tricky to take no ownership of one’s actions and blame You for everything !? 

Voice : And yet you will fail to do so. Only the fortunate ones can do it. When this seeps deep in your consciousness, you will feel freedom from your ownself.  

 

How wonderful if you can really take no responsibility of your actions ! Do you know the real meaning of it ? 

Me : Tell me

Voice : As you gradually attribute all your actions to Me, you begin to form a greater conviction that even actions of others are Mine too and you are able to remain undisturbed by anyone's actions. Judgements will gradually perish towards your own self and that of others. Your bindings begin to loosen their grip over you and you feel free.  

Me : Hmm 

Voice : As long as you hand over ownership for everything to Me, you won't have to be busy wallowing in what you don't like, but instead stay happy in My love. Your own changing vibration will begin to determine your course of actions. 

Imagine being able to step aside and watch your own movie play out. Calmly attributing everything to me; My unfathomable work will make you smile in silence.   

Me : Why are you telling me all this ? 

Voice : Because I know how bounded you are. Our companionship ought to bring you closer to Me, not widen the gap of where you are with Me. 

Before you knew of God, you were blissfuly unaware of good and bad which in turn kept you free. Now, instead of feeling total freedom, you are bound than ever before with the most sought designation in the world as 'Lover of God'. Unburden yourself. 

Me : Hmm

Voice : Do you see the funny side ?

Me : Well..

Voice : You think that bad guy has a long way to go? You think your mother-in-law is off the path ? You feel sorry for that lazy guy who sleeps all day or your 'God-lover friend' whose work is full of imperfections or that cousin who calls God a delusional idea?   

Me : So are you saying that as most of us who are on the spiritual path or on this quest to attain God could be actually ironically going...nowhere ? 

Voice : When you believe you are 'on the path' or you made it to a 'God lover's spiritual fraternity', you have created your first big hurdle. 

Me : Damn. That's how it works everywhere in world ! How can that be an impediment? 

Voice : It shouldn't. But often it becomes like a backdoor entry into a deeper trap of duality using Me ! 

Me : Deeeep ! 

Voice : Take time to reflect over it.

Me : I will 

Voice : Jump over the notions of good and bad and know I am the One behind everything, especially those most 'unGod-like things' - they play the biggest part in duality to decondition the mind of an aspirant.  

Attribute everything to Me without using your own filters. Your conviction here will determine your freedom or lack of it.  

Real freedom is something else. I will help you feel it.  

Me : Because I am special to you, aren't I ?

Voice : And this becomes the second hurdle..

Two Choices

Voice : What if I gave you 2 choices of how you could live ?

Me : Before I fall for your tricks, please clearly identify them..

Voice : One is where you will always feel My Love and be happy.. 

Me : I will take it !  

Voice : And the other is where you will feel deep pain, but you will feel My Love even deeper. What would you choose ? 

Me : Now this sounds like you..don't want to make things too easy, right ? 

Voice : Choose ..

Me : I choose the former - happy and little bit of your Love. Who chooses pain ? 

 

Voice : One doesn't choose pain..one only chooses more Love. 

Me : Hmm

Voice : Because he knows only Love is real. 

The choices you make keep you lingering in this dream. Choosing the latter would not mean choosing pain…it would simply mean choosing Love over everything. And, when you choose with conviction, the pain itself looses its grip over you. 

Me : So that's why they say the Path of Love is the path for the Bravehearts. 

Voice : Remember these lines ? 

"What can a heartache be, 

Laced in your divine love ?

What does pain remain to be,

For the one laying at your feet ?"

These lines are from the poetry you wrote a year back. You may forget, but I remember each word you write. 

Me : Wow ! 

I take a long time to grasp what I write. I don't live these lofty lines. I think I will still settle for the first option.

Voice : You have already made a choice...much before you came into being. Why do you think we are so close?    

Angel

Me : I love Angel. 

Voice : I know. When you love with all your heart, I always know because I receive it.  

Me : Is this called attachment in some way ?

Voice : Ha ha. I know that you have been hearing that often. 

Me : Well...

Voice : The question arose from your mind, not your heart. Now, what I tell you would be good to share with everyone.

Me :  Okay.

Voice : Attachment and detachment both carry deeper interpretations. Pure love is free of these interpretations. 

Me : How ?  

Voice : Attachment seeks to possess. Fear is the base for this feeling. Attachment arises from the emptiness of one’s being. It is a constriction of consciousness. It seeks self-gratification. It's a desire that imprisons. 

Do you see this between you and Angel ? 

Me : Nope. There is no fear. I feel she has opened up my heart and I only feel..more deeply.    

Voice : Good. And Angel is not attached to you, either.

Me : Really ?

Voice : Fiery pure love can appear strange to many. Often, this will be misinterpreted as attachment. Her love for you is fiery, fearless and unconditional.    

Me : Hmm 

Voice : Now lets understand the other word used - ‘detachment’. 

Me : Yes. Am often told to stay reasonably detached. 

Voice : Reasonably detached ? This is an amusing choice of words.. 

Me : Spiritual seekers use this often. 

Voice : Yes. Most aspirants advocate or been advised 'detachment', but this takes one further away from the supreme goal of Love. 

Me : How ? 

Voice : In reality, detachment cannot be a goal for anyone. If your desire is detachment, know that you are embarking on just another strong attachment - 'attachment to the idea of detachment.' 

Divine detachment simply emerges. It can never come as a pursuit. Any such attempt is a mental exercise that causes further binding. Only when one is drowned in the fire of pure love, detachment becomes an experience. It is a state of Being that arrives afterwards, not before on the divine path. 

Detachment remains only a word, until the intensity of Love consumes one's false Self.  

Me : Oh  

Voice : And, in true detachment, one is oblivious of his own sense of detachment. Since he is not attached to anything not even his physical self, the idea of detachment is alien to him. 

Instead of understanding divine detachment fully, humanity has crowned this misinterpretation and only succeeded in constricting consciousness from it's full expansion. It’s a life of half measure and in many cases a life of disguised indifference.  

Me : Beautiful. How did we get to this point  ? 

Voice : Because of self-preservation. You seem to understand it is easier to withhold part of yourself in the guise of detachment. It seems easier to protect your own emotions with the distance. You build layers to protect your heart. But, pure hearts will always have vulnerability. Yes, it can break easily but remember hearts that are filled with love, when broken, only pour out more love. 

How do you think I prefer you live .. protecting yourself your entire life ?

Me : Hmm 

  

Voice : Angel is in your life to expand your consciousness beyond the interpretation of attachment or detachment. She is in your life to give you the opportunity to love fully and completely. She is here to rip you heart open so you can feel love, receive love and grow in love. You will feel its glory, the joy, the pain, the sorrow, the exuberance, the anguish...all of it is part of experiencing the glory of pure love. 

You are giving all of yourself not really to Angel but to pure love that she symbolises. The reward of love lies in total immersion.

That is why I would rather you live in the world expressing love, rather than meditate for hours everyday. Love and God mean the same. 

  

Me : Wow. I feel normal now. Thank you. 

Voice : How fortunate are you to have this opportunity !

She is helping you grow and you have given yourself fully and held nothing back. You feel her heart and she feels yours. You devote yourself for her comfort, you are prepared to go any distance to give her the best. You have spared no part of yourself to be attentive to her smallest needs. It was easy to find reasons to shorten or skip her walks in so many years but something made you choose her over everything. This is the nature of love. 

Any other way is really distance from your own self. How can any interpretation of detachment even begin to capture this ? 

Me : I wasnt like this. 

Voice : I know. Just like many, you took shelter under the guise of 'spiritual detachment' to get closer to God but were actually distant from Him. You only succeeded to build walls of indifference and carved a barren living that was yet to taste the glory of love. You wanted God for your 'Self', but only when you forget your 'Self', can He be found. Angel was to take you away from looking at your own Self.  

If you create distance from My own creation, how can you love God fully ?

Me : So you sent Angel to bring this love into my life ? 

Voice : Love was always there inside you…she walked to you with the keys.  

Me : Sure did. But I feel deep pain when she is in pain.. 

Voice : Enlightened ones thank God not just for the joy, but especially for the pain. They know the mysteries of divine path. They dont fear the pain of love, but dread to have never had the opportunity to immerse in pure love. 

Let not the noise of words outside you of attachment and detachments dim the light of love. Grow deeper. Love deeper. What else is real ? There is no effacement of Self without selfless caring and giving for another.      

Remember, in the pursuit of detachment, you are present. In loving, I am present. 

Me : Wow

Your precious human birth is a gift and this gift turns into a blessing only with the magic of love. You are not expected to be a stone again. Let the intensity of emotions surface. Allow yourself to love and be loved. Cry with joy and pain. Become a human fully before you may become God.

Me : Beautiful. 

Voice : Angel symbolises love in the gross world. She has drawn circumstances to bring you closer to your own Self.   

When the time is right, the purity of this love will lift you from where you are, to be where you need to be...that will be My part. 

Me : Woah

Voice : Angel.. interesting name. Just a dog, you think ?    

 

Privileged Life

Me : So why can't he see this ? If he placed his trust in God, his life would incredibly transform. 

Voice : The irony of duality is time. Time dictates everyone’s apparent journey. It is your time now - even if you resist it. Sense of this closeness to God is in your lot in this life. 

Me : Hmm

Voice : No matter how it may appear to you, there is only one direction where everyone is moving. Look at life of everyone as an apparent time-lapse that eventually fades into insignificance when you experience Oneness.  

Judgements will rest. Resistance will pass. Drama will cease. 

Everyone is exactly where they belong.

Me : Then, I should consider myself very very very fortunate to even just believe in Your existence and experience Your love in this lifetime.

Voice : To have even a faintest awareness of God as God - is a gift from God. 

It is not you who has found Me, but Me who has sought you.

You are living a privileged life. 

In the Name of God

Me : Why do spiritual Masters and Saints speak about chanting the Divine Name ? Almost all ancient scriptures unfailing speak about it. Why is this so important for a seeker ? 

Voice : Often you have walked alone in the mountains and you have reached villages you have never been to, but how is it that you have never really lost your way ? 

Me : That's because there is always a natural trail to follow. 

Voice : Who made these trails ? 

Me : With repetitive walking on the same path, I guess ?

Voice : Thats correct. Repetitive footprint on the same path created a trail on it's own. And now, it holds good in the harshest weather and the pathway remains for everyone to follow for years. It's the same with chanting the Divine Name. 

Every time you repeat God's name you are gradually creating a divine pathway from your subconscious mind to your conscious mind. Over time you subjugate unfavourable impressions in your mind and are no longer held captive by them. You clear your path to Divinity. The longer and deeper the repetition, the faster you create this divine pathway.   

Just as you remove a thorn embedded in your foot with a needle, you create a new impression to remove the unwanted ones. 

So every time God’s name shoots up into the conscious mind, the barrier between the conscious and subconscious mind gets stronger to prevent unwanted impressions to take charge of you. This is a powerful remedy for those who wish to live their life from Divine awareness instead of being helplessly ruled by the lower Self. 

Me : Just by simply taking God's name ? 

 

Voice :  Yes, and its very simplicity goes against it. 

Me : True. And would it not get too mechanical sometimes ? 

Voice : It is natural for chanting to appear mechanical in the beginning, because of the thick layers of impressions that you have gathered since ages. But over time if persisted, chanting God's name will open open your heart and it will no more remain mechanical. Love will be the motive of everything you do.  

Me : Hmm

Voice : Repeated thought or action forms an impression that if reinforced becomes a strong centre in your mind that governs you. This repeated chanting of the Divine Name will help create a devotion centre within your consciousness. Just the way repeated strides on a  grassy land creates a pathway.  

The name of God holds power beyond your imagination. True seekers of God know it and live it.  

Me : Wow 

Voice : It is you alone choosing what to fill your mind with every moment and that in turn is shaping your consciousness. 

Is God on your mind ??   

Music

Me : I have heard of great lovers of God who played music and sang for you. And I meet several people who can create music, recite hyms, sing devotional melodies that sound so wonderful. What a blessing to be able to use musical expression for love for God!

Voice : Yes, it’s a divine quality. Love can effortlessly transmit from heart to heart with music. It can change the world.     

Me : And here I am, I can't sing to save myself. Actually, I can't repeat a single line from any song. Melody within me is non-existent. I have nothing musical about myself. Sometimes, I feel maybe if I had the aptitude to play any small instrument I would get the privilege to play a note for You from my heart..     

Voice : Everything in the universe emits a sound frequency, not just musical instruments.

When you write, it is music to My ears. Each word creates a divine sound vibration that reverberates in the universe. How is that not music ? 

Ever noticed the sound of silence ? What a divine note it carries ! I listen to your silence with so much attention. 

And how I enjoy the rhythm of the beating of your heart for Me!  

Me : Wow. You find love in everything about me !

Voice : That's the nature of divine love...    

Don't worry about being unable to play a musical instrument for Me. You are an instrument yourself in My divine orchestra !

 

    

Darkness of Illusion

Me : I have had it ! I quit ! Damn this maya ! 

Voice : You damning Me ?  

Me : How am I damning you ?? 

Voice : Maya is My shadow. The closer you come to Me, wouldn't also My shadow get closer to you ? How can you separate this experience ? 

Me : Inevitable as I am drawn closer to you ? I thought it was contrary. 

Voice : Most people think so. 

Me : The force of illusion feels intense !    

Voice : Because you are close to Me. 

Me : I can't handle the darkness.

Voice : Aren't shadows always dark ?

Me : Sigh..

Voice :  Anyone can play in light. But, the darkness strengthens you to transcend one's own self. Maya is not your enemy. 

I will tell you something that you may have not heard before….the world tells you I am the Redeemer, but it is maya who will redeem mankind.  

Me : What ?

Voice : The force of Illusion is My vehicle to liberate your own self. You navigate illusion to come to Light. I am only an armour. You dress yourself with Me to unravel your life or choose to go unarmed. The choice is yours. But the battle is inevitable. And it's best fought by being in the world.    

Me : Like using the falseness to find the Truth ? My fear is losing sight of you ! 

Voice : Fear will be your greatest impulse for growth. I see courage in your heart. Continue to be where you are placed. It's My place for you at the moment.    

You will soak, gasp and choke for breath. You will feel you are drowning, but you will never sink. I am the Light in you that can never dim. 

Me : I feel, see and sense things that only make me more withdrawn. 

Voice : That is your predicament. In time it will be your strength, not weakness. 

Know that you can only remember Me, only if you forget. You are drawn to light, because you feel the darkness. You can only know true freedom from the experience of bondage.

Me : Wow  

Voice : Remember, as long as you are in duality, there will always remain the way to restore balance through the opposite. 

 

Me : Opposite ?? That sounds like a big problem. 

Voice : Imbalance may be a bigger problem. Bring your awareness to the ways of duality. 

One day, you will see darkness guiding you to light and not the other way around.

You will be prepared for what is coming.

Me : Scary. But incredibly profound.  

 

Voice : Next time you enjoy being under the shade of a tree - be aware that you are enjoying it's 'dark shadow'. 

Blessing to Belong

" I don't need to show, 

That you are needed

You know it all, 

You are holding my hand. 

Those wishes inside me, 

I don't need to voice them 

You have the pulse, 

Of my heart in your hand. 

Before a tear falls, 

Or my lips stretch to smile 

You know it all, 

As I remain in your love. 

 

 Drifting away by myself, 

 Inseparable from You

It's a blessing for me to know,  

That I belong, and belong only to You."   

Are You Happy ?

Voice : Are you happy ? 

Me : Is that a trick question ? 

Voice : Just a simple question

Me : You don't ask simple questions. 

Voice : Haha

Me : To answer You, I am very happy right now. Why wouldn't I be - with a warm cup of tea, silence all around, melody of himalayan flute playing in the background and heart warming views ..

Voice : So if all this is taken away from you, will you still remain happy ? 

Me : Even my tea goes ?      

Voice : Yes, even your tea is taken away ….along with everything else. 

Me : With everything taken away from me, I think I will have a problem. I think anyone would !

Voice : Not everyone. 

Me : Not everyone ?  

Voice : Not for those who live in self-sustaining, unbounded and eternal joy that springs from within. But, this quest will remain elusive for those in pursuit of happiness that is dependant on things that are transient...and this even includes your own form. 

Me : How can one be conscious of the difference ?   

Voice : Simple. One needs to know the false as false, to know what is Real. 

Me : And God alone is Real !

So every moment, one is taking a step either towards what one 'thinks' will give one happiness or towards 'real happiness'.    

Voice : For real happiness, you don't take steps, you simply choose. 

Real happiness does not delude those who know the difference of 'Being Happy' and 'Being Happy In God’s Love'. Living this difference is everything. 

Then, nothing can be taken away from you because you already have the great fortune to have lost everything in God's Love. 

Me : Wow

Voice : You can find what you are looking for.....but, what ARE you looking for ? 

The Last Dance

"The rigours of movement, 

Could not halt my body 

Nor did the bleeding of my feet, 

Or sensation of any pain.  

Swaying and moving unceasingly,

Music played for my dancing feet 

Overcoming physical impossibility, 

I wasn't in my body.

It was the descent of energy upon me, 

 Breaking me into rigours of movement 

My being reverberated with intensity, 

I knew this frequency. 

  

With entire existence within my breath, 

Nothing was to stop me today  

Moving to the rhythm of celestial music,   

Smile and tears made their way.

Resonating within louder and louder, 

My entire being vibrated with His call, 

Facing total annihilation in this trance 

I was in bliss of my last dance."
