God Of Small Things

Me : I need to make some conscious efforts to connect to God everyday.

Voice : I see you have used two words - ‘conscious' and ‘effort’.

Me : So ?

Voice : Wouldn’t a preferred approach be ‘spontaneous' and ‘effortless' ?

Me : Maybe, for an enlightened person. How do I do it ?

Voice : You are already doing it. In beautiful, spontaneous and effortless moments.

When you were preparing a cup of tea today, you were so deeply involved in the process while you were grating, slicing and infusing fresh mix of carefully selected spices. You were staring so patiently at the kettle while it was heating and then you intuitively thought of mixing the tea-leaves at three separate heating temperatures to give you the right flavour. An otherwise mechanical process turned tea-making into an art. You were so involved in the moment, that you made an effortless divine connection.

When you stepped out to buy groceries, you came across a small puppy. You began playing with him with your heart, feeding him some treats and love began to flow freely between you and the puppy. What a beautiful expression of spontaneous love.

Later in the day, you were simply staring outside your window watching the clouds in the sky. Time was not even in your awareness as you were completely immersed in the moment.

There have been many moments of the heart that lace your life with apparently doing nothing. These are my special moments with you.

Fortunately, My connection with you will always remain effortless.

Me :  You make it sound so simple.

Voice : Love IS simple.

Me : We are complicated.

Voice : Maybe, you need to just ‘be’. Instead of ‘doing’. Divine love flows where there is emptiness.

Your entire life has been a dictation of regimes from education, family, society, jobs and now, you are helplessly doing the same with God. How can I be compartmentalised in your day like an extra class ? How about giving Me some freedom to express Myself, through you ?

Love is spontaneous, joyful, free, effortless, has no reason and is in the moment.
If God was confined to a routine, confirmity, a task, or a mental experience, you are in pursuit of something else.

Feel love in your smallest and simplest moments. Feel.

Because, I am right there.

Me : Thank you. So, ultimately use Love as a vehicle to God.

Voice : Perhaps, God is the vehicle to Love.

  9. Another masterpiece 💞

We complicate love but reading your post it only enlightens me that truly small acts we do in our day to day life is an act of love and we are so consumed with the activity we dont realise any of it .

Thankyou for beautifully reminding us that love is Simple ❤
